I like playing the cello, but I cant play for 15 seconds without my mom coming up to me and yelling at me about how i dont play the cello right. Recently, she was ppissed atme about my vibrato. When i showed her the vid, and proved her i was doing it right, she said, "No, your still wrong, OK?" and left the room.

To those on this page who asked about acquiring a "good" instrument . . .

The late Frank Miller, who was the First Chair in The NBC Symphony Orchestra supposedly spent most of his NBC career playing a cello that was made in 1941!

I think he's playing that instrument on the NBC's recording of Richard Strauss's "Don Juan;" he was quite marvelous.
