Yes I agree, what a wonderful performance! He sings like he really means it. One of my favourite songs sung by my favourite tenor, such a shame he doesn't get as much attention as one or two others I could mention! Anyone know what year this performance is from?

I have this DVD and love this version of this song. I have a CD with Carreras and have heard/seen recordings of Kauufmann, Domingo, Alagna and Villazon sing this and they can't beat this one in my view. A lot of tenors seem to screech it and don't pronounce the French properly! Beautiful perfo...
