I also played piano for about a few years, but gave it up for violin. Although I'm trying to teach myself how to play again. Have you ever jonied a choir group of sorts?
I play violin in Concert Band and I'm thinking about playing in Jazz band as well. I'm also a part time percussionist in Pep band.(my schools form of a Marching Band I guess lol) Outside of school I'm taking lessons for guitar and violin. Within the next few years I intend of playing in the DSO(Detroit Symphony Orchestra) along with majoring in music.
Just curious because it sounds like you do. :D
