Ispent a fair amt of time looking for a Benny Goodman Christmas album, at least on CD. Scattered tracks, at best two at a time on various anthology big band CDs, but nothing comprehensive, I'm afraid.

Someone sent me e-mail about Brooke Adams twin sister. Look up the Wiki entry for her. It says she "grew up with her twin sister." It took me a couple of days to recover from the news.

It's a 1965 film called "Pop Gear" with a lot of groups, mostly British, in some pretty stylized presentations. Try a site called The Video Beat, which specializes in DVD versions of stuff like this.

I love the way Dean plays off Groucho and then dances at the end. Reminds me of the Colgate Comedy Hour and Dean and Jerry killing time at the end.

For whatever we think of Phil Spector, his Christmas album is amazing. I collect non-traditional Christmas music, and it contains so many classics.

Such a perfect video. So much about the time and the performer -- solid song performed by the composer. I keep coming back here to watch. The dancers, the way she sings "git-ar" (you can take the girl out of the country, but..). No one performs this song like this, and we are the better for it.
