About Cecilia Harris
The one thing that I have great love and passion for is journalism. Whether it is through writing or presenting on-air, it is a strong and powerful way to connect communities together and to touch the public. I always try to think of interesting ways to grab people's attention and keep them interested. Currently I am covering local stories for Rogers First Local, 6 o'clock news in Guelph. I generate sources for ideas to create original stories that are community centered. I do my research and conduct interviews, making sure to obtain great footage to keep the audience's attention. In the editing room is where I start to see the story angle coming together by recording voice overs and cutting interviews to bring the piece together to educate and inform the viewer.
I currently am looking for a full time position at a media outlet.
