Something a little different & experimental from my usual style. This is a new Placebo Tribute Video for the instrumental track "Ion" (eye-on) which appears as a B-Side on Placebo's CD-1 single "You Don't Care About Us" from their second studio album "Without You I'm Nothing" released in 1998. One of Placebo's many skills is that the band can produce some great instrumental tracks, alongside their more full-on vocal tracks.
With this video, I wanted to include some new footage, as well as footage from the original video for "Meds" although certain clips have been heavily edited with upside-down shots and reverse-angle shots. This one also has the inclusion of some different fluid rippling effects, to try and give it a more trippy spaced-out feel.
I also felt that this video creation wouldn't really have worked in black & white, hence the colour throughout. The audio on this, is in its original condition, from the disc. The various quotes on my efforts are taken from various Placebo interviews from radio & magazine sources. I hope this is ok for you. Please enjoy, rate and comment.
