Anything Catholic
About Me:

MIDDLE EASTERN CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN ASSYRIAN. CATHOLICS MUST STUDY HISTORY WITH COMMON SENSE and UNDERSTANDING. DON'T BE FOOLED BY OTHER'S INTERPRETATIONS - they are being ignorant of Our Church's doctrine given by Christ's apostles passed down in-order to keep the teachings. Unlike other so-called bible only believers. Although they're not prohibited to spread the Gospels (God bless them) but they do not teach fully or have any connection with the original apostles. Catholic Church doesn't want to mislead anyone. Despite the problems, because the Church was not given to be perfect - Aren't we all sinners? However, the Sacraments and virtues are ALL true teaching directly the apostles, etc...

:) "man-god"? who taught you that? who's the "man-god"? Jesus said: "I AM BEFORE ABRAHAM..."! John 8:56-59 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad." 57 So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?" 58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." 59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

no man can be infallible because "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". Being a sinner, which indeed the Pope is(he goes to confession just like the rest of us), has absolutely nothing to do with the biblical doctrine of infallibility. The doctrine of infallibility, officially defined at the Vatican I council of 1870, says that when the Pope is officially defining church dogma, the Holy Spirit is also. There are three requirements for infallibility to be invoked: 1. The pronouncement must be made by the official successor to Peter. 2. The subject matter must be in the area of faith and morals. 3. The Pope must be speaking ex cathedra (from the chair) of Peter, and must be intending to proclaim a doctine that binds the entire Church to assent.

I come from from middle east and i speak Aramaic and my church has been with Catholic church for 2000yrs now and the evidence is there. the problem with you americans is that you have made and taught yourselves according to your likeness and understanding. in scriptures, it warrens us to NOT LEAD TO OUR UNDERSTANDING BUT GOD'S ONLY! THE POPE IS NOT GOD AND WE NOT WORSHIP HIM!!! > STOP THE ACCUSATIONS AND READING HISTORY WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Example in the Saints And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:11-12) Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. (1 Cor 11:1, cf. 1 Cor 4:16)

Tell(s) us the Holy Spirit is one of the three Persons of the Trinity,
Tell(s) us Jesus Christ was both fully God and fully man from the moment of conception (e.g. how do we know His Divinity wasn't infused later in His life?) and/or tells us Jesus Christ is One Person with two complete natures, human and Divine and not some other combination of the two natures (i.e., one or both being less than complete),
Tell(s) us Jesus Christ is of the same substance of Divinity as God the Father.

Some Tough Questions for Protestants

These questions below are impossible for a believer in sola scriptura to answer, since no verse or combination of verses in Scripture provides the required information.

Provide the verse(s) which:

Say(s) God created the world/universe out of nothing,
Say(s) Scripture is the sole authority (i.e., there is no other authority for learning about God and/or salvation),
Say(s) salvation is attainable through faith alone,
Tell(s) us how we know that the revelation of Jesus Christ ended with the death of the last Apostle,

Protestants believe (some of them) in the "Bible only" or "where did you find that in Bible"? The fact is, they fail to understand that Jesus Christ, the Son of God founded a CHURCH and did not write a SINGLE WORD of Scripture! He wrote once, putting His finger in the sand, that we know about. We as Catholics believe in Holy Scripture (the Bible) because the CHURCH tells us it is true, it is the CHURCH that informed us which books were inspired etc. If you are bothered with Protestants (who came as splinter groups 1500 years AFTER Jesus founded His Church), then ask your friends who are Protestant where they find these things in the Bible:
