The birds outside the office window of the editor and publisher of Catholica, Brian Coyne, provide both distraction and entertainment each day. We've recently discovered that providing seed blocks attracts somewhere between 12 and 15 different varieties of birds. This sequence was filmed over a period of about 15 minutes on a wet, overcast day on 3rd October 2009. My office in the Blue Mountains overlooks the Cumberland Plain and the city of Sydney. When I filmed this the music playing in the background was the Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo performed by Slava & Leonard Gregoryan with the Queensland Orchestra conducted by Brett Kelly from an ABC Classics CD, "The Essential Slava Grigoryan". I filmed for about 20 minutes yesterday and by coincidence while I was filming the music playing in the background was a cd of Slavo and Leonard Grigoryan. When I decided to edit it to get under the 10 minute YouTube limit I decided to edit it to just one of the tracks that was playing yesterday. (less info)
