MEAT TV is a small and slowly growing selection of films created by myself as part of both my own production entity, "...but is it meat? films" and the director's bureau, "the DOGDAY committee". Enjoy.
About Me:
Hometown:
London
Country:
United Kingdom
Occupation:
Filmmaking, Depression, Corporeal Reductionism
Companies:
...but is it meat? films, meatreal...? post
Hobbies:
Filmmaking, Films, Movies, Drawing, Writing, SFX, VFX, For films, Moving Pictures. I have also recently converted to Cypherianism - more than an interest or hobby I suppose, but there's nowhere else to mention it. I know Jack will save us.
Movies:
I watch everything. Seriously. It's my affliction. I have compiled a rough top five films of all time (changes from day-to-day). Latest is - in no particular order - Fargo, The Fifth Element, Memories of Murder, Natural Born Killers and Irreversible. My real favourite movies of all time, obviously, are the ones still in my head - yet untouched by the harsh realities of my practical, artistic and financial limitations. I wish I could invite you to a screening. They'd change your life. In terms of TV, If 24 isn't on I try to avoid The Cathode Ray. I WebStream all sermons from The Veracious Ministry of PsychoSurgeons, especially the Open-Heart laying-on-of-hands baptisms. Maybe, one day, I'll be brave enough to go under the knife myself.
Music:
The Beatles saved my life, so they definetly come first. Radiohead, Leonard Cohen, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Blonde Redhead, Pixies, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Aphex Twin, Chris Clark, The Cooper Temple Clause, David Bowie, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Patti Smith, Venitian Snares, Johan Sebastian Bach, - the list is truly too long to recount here. I have a love for music - for mucisians and singers - that sometimes makes me just start convulsing when I hear them. I believe that music is the closest we in the West have to witchcraft; it is sorcery and encantation. Sometimes a Johnny Greenwood track just grabs me by the throat and squeezes until my vision swims with blotches of darklight. I don't know if it is magic or undiscovered science; maybe the totally abstract nature of musical vibration resonates within our meat-chassis, churning up our fluids and such. I believe that truly great musicians - ones that have mastered their instrument or voice - they are messengers for some kind of horrendously vast knowledge that niggles in the corner of all our minds - like the rising damp behind the wall paper in your bathroom.
Books:
The only book worth reading anymore is 'Sebastian Stringbow at the Former Twilight Basilica of Corporeal Reductionism'. The next time you are in a hotel, check under the bible in your bedside table. I am having some trouble interpreting the IuQua passages of tenet 7 through 12. If anybody can offer me guidance on the procedural correctness of being human, please get in touch. Through Jack, we are all one.
