Carry the Lost was born in early 2010 when five transplanted, like minded musicians from across Canada found themselves in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They decided to take their diverse and varied backgrounds and create dynamic musical landscapes with emotional intensity and fierce, aggressive passion.

Two guitarists Ave Trefry (from Pictou County, Nova Scotia) and Ben Roussel (from North East New-Brunswick), were already playing together for a year and wanted more. They found bassist Tom Evans (from Toronto) and started writing songs right away. Soon after, they met drummer Ken Ross (from New Brunswick via Calgary) and added a vocalist Ave knew from back home, Leigh McInnis (who was moving back from Toronto). The writing process started quickly through everyone bringing in ideas and growing them into fully arranged songs. With a hard rock melodic edge and a mellow groove of catchy riffs and rhythms, Carry the Lost's sound is created from each member's wealth of knowledge and credentials. The material is emotional and passionate, both lyrically and musically and the songs are delivered with poignant integrity and rawness.

Carry the Lost is currently perfecting new material in preparation for the studio in early in 2011. While launching an online presence that is sure to excite and upcoming live showcases, the band is already drawing attention and the buzz has started.
