When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I looked a lot like Billie Holliday. I've always taken a shine to her music. Did you know someone has created a website for Billie: http://www.billieholiday.com/. This song in particular means a lot to me ~ so sweet ~ about being "distracted" (smiles).

I spent a good deal of time this morning inside one of these. I'm in the midst of having every test known to science done on me for a thorough "mid-life" check up. I was surprised that on YouTube you can find quite a few product promos, as well as actual surgeries posted! Well, I guess it makes sense, but it's not for the "uninitiated." So so so happy the weekend has arrived. I'm not "favoriting" this video, but it was a cool machine.

This is terrific. I love the dancing and Sade's voice and music. When two hearts beat as one it's a very special, unique experience; having said that, it must be taken seriously and carefully. Love is not a game.

Thanks to Donald Trump for his strident stance against mega wind turbines which are destroying migratory birds in record numbers and which are unsightly to beautiful natural and historic areas. Along the Texas Coast this is a REAL and growing problem. Hugs from Texas, DT!

Did I mention it? This is my sister, Katharine from California. She has a band today called Battlin' Bluebirds; she also had a country band under the name Kitty Rose (sometimes Kitty gets resurrected, but not too often these days). Katharine and Jody own/operate Wild Rainbow African Safaris, a successful tour company.

I really like this song as well as the home-made video/film that shows both the band playing and the projected images behind ~ great fun!

The older I get, the more I like the "Queen of Country Music," Dolly Parton. Especially I love this video and the sentiment it conveys.

The combination of Cascada's song, "Everytime We Touch" with film clips of adorable 1930s couple William Powell and Myrna Loy in, "The Thin Man" is so clever and perfect. I adore this little video!

Right now, I have "computer blues" (a new laptop and all that goes with a new installation). This video makes the pain bearable. I am also a new Facebook friend of Sotiris ~ he is a GREAT fellow, and his electronic music quite sophisticated.

I've favorited 3 videos having to do with the Crossing of the Delaware during the American Revolutionary War. One of the showpieces of the redesigned American Wing at the MET is a painting of the Crossing by Emanuel Leutze. The children's cartoon tells how the Crossing came about; my Irish ancestor John Honeyman's role in that effort is noted. The news video features a discussion about historical aspects of the famous painting.

I admit to barking a bit in the car while driving, hence I feel sympathetic here (and I am always happy no one outside the car can actually hear me). I read about KIA and the company produces good cars, designed to have a reduced environmental impact as well, which is excellent ....

More than 6 million people have watched this video, and I admit to being one of them. This is so fabulous, everything about it. Love the sentiment, too ~ just perfect.
