I always like to think that Myrna Loy got her paycheck and requested that she be "airlifted" out of this movie, hence her exiting before the second act. From Airport 1975 to this.. this grand dame of the silver screen should have had better twilight roles.

I also love how the audience is completely non-plussed LOL

The ending with the egg exploding in her hands and the sucker planting itself onto her face has more of a comedic effect. I prefer that ending.

She does sound like Bette Davis... when did she get that "squeak" in her voice when she becomes shrill? They sounded very different in Baby Jane.... I don't know why Joan sounds like Bette Davis now.
