Karen Fougere & John Lohnes teamed up with Stephen McGrath to rewrite, record and release "Alone in the Doorway". Over the past few years we've been asked when our music will be available for sale. "Alone in the Doorway" is now our 2nd song available for download purchase - the first being "It Feels Like Rain". Many of you have listened to and enjoyed the original "Alone in the Doorway" Karen and John recorded a year or so ago, but this rewrite and studio recording is much improved - we think you'll love it - leave us a note and let us know your thoughts!! "Alone in the Doorway" is available on iTunes, CDBaby, eMusic + many other on-line stores. A like to these stores is placed on FougereLohnes YouTube page, or search www.CDBaby.com or iTunes.com or eMusic.com and then search "Fougere Lohnes McGrath". Thank you all for your support to date!

The video is a bit jerky but it doesn't matter because the only reason I did it was to show how my aquarium loads and runs without getting assaulted by a multitude of pop-ups.
Anybody that surfs the web these days should be running a qood adblocker, if not you probably shouldn't be on the web.
I detest pop-ups and offensive ads trying to reach out a grubby hand and reach into my billfold. I won't run a browser without an adblocker.
I understand the need to communicate new features and present new items in H.A. The problem is they were just too many. We complained about getting assaulted by too many pop-ups all at once every time the game loads and their "solution?" was to add random(?) delays which caused them to pop up at inopportune times interrupting game play and even causing a few quick individuals to make unwanted purchases and actions.
I can't condone this, I can only document the steps I personally felt driven to take and explain them in such a way that you could duplicate them if so inclined, what you do is your business.
If you run Firefox the solution is easy, if you run Chrome you "may" be able to get it to work, I really could not. Perhaps next upgrade of Chrome's AdBlock(Plus) will solve it. In certain respects the Chrome version is easier, I just couldn't get it to work with H.A. pop-ups but I'm not really a Chrome user so didn't try too hard. If you run I.E. this won't work.... good luck. :)
Anyway I ALWAYS run the "AdBlockPlus" extension http://adblockplu... ALWAYS. On that same page under "Our other extensions" is "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus". It is also very useful, not necessary to this but keep it in mind.
After installing the AdBlockPlus extension and subscribing to the "Easylist English" subscription(at least here in the states) you can right click the icon and select "Preferences" and add another filter subscription OR you can add filters one at a time.
I have a list of filters at http://chuggerspl... that I don't guarantee and don't plan to keep up to date. However you can add that URL as a filter subscription to try "if" you want get a feel for what can be done. The list is simple and in plain text so you can read it before making a decision.
After that if you think it helps you may want to cancel the subscription, download the filters and "Import" them. That's in preferences too under the "File" menu item. That way you have the filters locally and can modify them as you wish.
The filters may block an action you don't want blocked. For example you won't get asked to rescue a creature etc.(A solution would be to create an exception thus allowing that pop-up, I chose to not do that). You should occasionally disable AdBlockPlus while opening the aquarium to see if there's something new, at least that way you have control.
It's theoretically possible that next week the H.A. developers will add a pop-up that does not get blocked. Or they may move all the pop-ups to a different directory so nothing gets blocked. That's why I say no guarantees, that plus the fact that I really don't play anymore so I won't catch it and fix it.
I'm sorta kinda a little bit technical enough to muddle though things I'm driven to do but I don't have all the answers nor the strength to try so it's up to you either take control of your machine or... not.
Good luck.
