what an interesting interpretation. he leaves it half voice, almost mp-p for most of the aria and only opens it up toward the end. Its really unselfish if you think about it, because he doesnt eat up every note but rather leaves something to be desired. this is for the audience's sake.

@skelt030 No. No the singers in the chorus were being good members of a choir on a live TV performance and acting. I know its a crazy concept but no one in the choir is going to make a bad face everytime Florence goes to belt and comes up flat
