Greetings!
My name is Rockwell Ormond Butler, and Ive been deaf since age 2.
I live in the Atlanta, GA area and have been working with some other DEAF and ASL (hearing) friends to start-up a new non-profit organization to help the deaf.
Deaf America Organization was started in January of this year (2005). We are at the beginning of our journey with a very clear vision of our mission, goals and objectives.

Our Vision
To help the 20 million American deaf, hard of hearing and ASL hearing people to improve the quality of their lives by providing an interactive Web-based information "Sharepoint" that stimulates personal growth, independence, education, collaboration and values.
The Vision of the Deaf America Organization (DAO) is to develop and manage seven Regional deaf communities, between 10 and 100 acres each, located across the United States that will provide over 1000 deaf and ASL DAO members with:
affordable rental housing
natural foods and farm products
employment at DAO facilities
improved social friendships
deaf-friendly environment
good moral values
