@DontTakeItCirrusly For a good price tire, best bang for buck are the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110. Look them up... very good tire for the price

Run a set of Mazdaspeed 3 tires on those rims and watch the braking and handling numbers improve significantly. They didn't want the RA to be too close to the Evo on purpose... hence the garbage tires.

lol at all the hate on here. An NA motor will never make the power of a boosted one, but damn that VTEC and 8500RPM redline cant be had in a boosted motor :D

@DivinityOfDoom You drove a Civic... not a MS3 or Cobalt SS T/C. The SS T/C ran the same Lightning Lap time as an Evo MR. FWD isn't the best, but it can hang with some very very good cars.

@loljkdude16 The cobalt TC can take an Evo X... lightning lap proved it.

i wouldnt shift past 6k RPM usually between 5500 and 6k RPM is best in these...nice run though

@COOLRADIUM Ralliart starts at 32k and GSR Evo starts at 42k. Evo MR starts at a brutal 48k... all of that is before our 13% sales tax. You see a ton more Ralliarts on the road than Evos in Canada simply cause of the price difference. Bang for buck wise we can tune a RA to near Evo numbers for 50...

@princeofroyalty2 Straight line yes. The Cobalt SS T/C is known to be just as good a track car as the Evo X. Take a look at the Lightning Lap series from C/D:

Cobalt SS T/C: 3.13.0

Evo MR: 3.13.3

@TuQwik4u I think it was Bryan who found out from GST motorsports. But no, the RA is confirmed to not have the throttle limitation. The GSR has the 5k RPM rev limiter when at a standstill to avoid clutch exploding

@tommyc97 Used to drive a 97 Civic Si coupe w/ a B16B. So i did... i also have had a 1997 Eagle Talon TSI AWD... and now drive a new Mitsu Ralliart. All solid cars that do what they do very well. A Civic Si does its job very well... good on gas when wanted... and a solid track car when requested....

@MASTERHOLYDICK haha we don't. To make things worse, our fuel is more expensive and we get taxed 13% on all purchases... oh and pay wayyy more income taxes. Its weak, which is why you see a ton more Ralliarts and few Evos here.

To me, a RA is more of a Budget MR (which starts at 51k in Canada.....

Don't slip the clutches until break in is done... those trannys aren't cheap to replace

I want the Ralliart so bad... I would get the Evo but the 5 speed in the GSR is geared too high for highway drives. Ralliart is a better tourer

@JohnsonBarry The only differences engine wise are the BOV, turbo and FMIC along with piping. The RA is no Evo... but with the right cheap mods and a decent tune... it surely can feel like one.

If gas wasnt as expensive as it is... i would buy this truck in a heartbeat. Thing is the sign of manliness

@ERICELM daily drive it? Highway cruise with it at 2k rpm instead of 4k like the GSR? The GSR lacks a highway gear... which in today's world of fuel economy baffles me. i'd rock a GSR if it had that highway gear. Please next Evo give it a 6th gear!
