My name is Capt. Paul West. I moved to Florida 4 years ago and bought my seventh boat a Hunter 31. At that time I realized that the only way to have a boat in southwest Florida is make so she makes a living. So chartering was the answer for me. Since then, I have upgraded Magic Wind to Star of Orion a Hunter 380. I beautiful 38 foot sloop that sails the Gulf of Mexico.

I booked a slip at Salty Sam's Marina and hung out my shingle. I've been chartering for the past couple of years here in Fort Myers Beach. It's a great business. It gives me the chance to get paid for what I'd do for free. I also gives me the chance to make human to human connections that will help this world make sense to all of us. For that I am thankful. Everyday.
