I am Neil, aka 'Feanor'. I read most of the comments on Marina's page so I have seen many of yours. The correct spelling for the derivative: 'Click' is actually: 'Klick'. And though it's a sort-of contraction for 'Kilometer', it's not Canadian, but all-American.
Also, re: your vid above: 'Halogen', though having a strict origin in Greek, it actually refers to the company that manufactured the lamps in the 1960's. Similar in nature to 'Band-Aid', 'Kleig-Light', or 'Zipper', the word, though Trademarked, has entered the lexicon as a stand-alone.
