Epilepsy is some scary shit, but its real. Please support those affected by lifelong epilepsy and just realize that it is part of who we are but its not WHO we are.

Epilepsy Sucks UK was formed by Sallieann Gould and Vicki Evans in 2010. Two mothers who have the same view of epilepsy and that was that it sucks harder than a dyson in a black hole!

Members of many other groups, they were frustrated by the lack of straight talking involved and how many people seemed to settle with what they had been dealt and the information they had recieved from thier health care professionals was nothing short of neglectful in many cases leaving people with epilepsy and carers of people with epilepsy to trawl the internet looking for their own answers, trouble is not everything you read on the net is true.

Here at Epilepsy Sucks UK, we try and bring the best informed knowledge of things that actually can help and have helped our members all based on scientific research. We would like to see everyone with epilepsy receive the best possible control in the least harmful way. In a lot of cases this could be through looking at the AEDs, diagnosis and symptoms they have and by use of our tweak guide.

AEDs cause deficiencies in important natural anticonvulsant substances that make our brains tick over and function as they should aiding the AEDs. Simple dietary changes can also have an effect on gaining control, I bet you a quid that you have been told to eat a balanced diet! What exactly is a balanced diet for someone with epilepsy?? They don't tell you to avoid monosodium glutamate and aspartame which are toxic to people with epilepsy.
