@DrKelleyPhDMDVMDODSr A tourniquet almost always works, not sometimes. They don't just put pressure on a wound, they cut off circulation. From what I've been taught in JROTC, a tourniquet is the last resort and often leads to amputation of the affected limb.

Are you kidding me? The heavier sword didn't slice the ice? That's bs...he didn't use the correct part of the longsword blade. Closer to the top is where more leverage and force is, and he used the part closest to the hilt.
