About Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy

A global cancer crisis is looming. By 2020, more than 100 million people will die from cancer, most of them in developing countries where there is no access to treatment, pain-reducing medication or counseling for the families they will leave behind.

Did you know? Cancer today kills more people than HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB combined. Its one of the worst threats to human health and developing countries are struggling to meet this terrible burden. PACT was established at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2004 to respond to this crisis: we bring together cancer experts, the private sector, patient advocates, global health funders and people just like you to build comprehensive cancer control programmes in developing countries.
