CSC raises awareness of issues that affect the Canadian Somali community and achieves this objective through education, public awareness, media relations and non-partisan government relations.

CSC aims to create an increased capacity for diversity within the Canadian Somali community by emphasizing a variety of human rights, civil liberties and social justice issues.

CSC works to promote the development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Canada and Somalia as well as assisting the Somali people in building a peaceful, united, independent and democratic Somali state.

CSC encourages the full participation of Canadian Somalis in all aspects of Canadian society.
