Hey, it's a really sad story actually. he said he wrote it after a close friend of his died from cancer. He said she battled the disease, but was resigned to her fate, and always said that when she died, she would come back as a butterfly. So when she died there were 4 of them sitting in a bar one night, and a beautiful butterfly came into the bar. it was so strange because it was at night-time, and the butterfly flitted around them all and finally settled on the husband of his friend's shoulder and sat there. His friend quietly stood up and walked out of the bar, with the butterfly still sitting on his shoulder....I hope i've explained it well. He's a fantastic artist. I really love this song.
