"Camerata Extrema" is a string chamber formation. After the creation in 2000 of Orquesta Sinfónica de Extremadura, the enthusiasm and need of its components has crystallized in the institution of no few duets, trios and quartets, that are enriching, like never before had happened till now, the musical scene of Extremadura, with an also unknown quality.
This availability and the existence of a numerous group of excellent musicians of a very high level, arrived from every corner of the planet, makes maestro José Ignacio Martinez-Pulgar founds the Camerata Extrema.
The début of the Camerata Extrema took place in Badajoz, on 11th may 2005, in the Bar Asssociation's Hall, full to overflowing and an excellent later acceptance on the part of the local críticism.
