I am a fun loving person who likes to sing, play music, hang out with friends and play with my 3 beautiful kids. Over the last few years I put on alot of weight. Not that I was small before but 60 pounds is alot no matter what size you are. I could tell that weight was taking a toll on me physically. And socially I did not want to leave the house which only makes that cycle so much worse.

The point in which I decided to consider WLS is when I tried to hire into an old company that I worked for in the past. The doctor who did my physical made me go thru several tests which found that I have obstructive sleep apnea, Tachacardia, high tryglycerides, low good cholesterol, prediabetic, and have adema in in both legs. Both of my parents went down this same road with health issues leading to a heartattack at age 39 for my Dad and multiple problems for Mom.

Both of my parents had weightloss suregery 2 years ago and I seen their quality of life get much better. My mother had RNY gastic bypass and my father the gastric sleeve with the duodenal switch.

I found out my insurance covers WLS under certain criteria and I meet several of them as I mentioned before.

I am 5'6" tall and weighed 318 lbs on my intial visit to Dr. Perez with a waist measurment of 54 inches.
