Christopher Dean, Celtic and Folk Guitarist, Fingerstyle and Flatpick Traditions on 6 and 12 Guitars.
About Me:

Guitarist Christopher Dean
Christopher Dean presents an unforgettable performance of Celtic and American folk music performed in the fingerstyle and flatpick traditions on 6 and 12 string guitars.

Chris is not just a gifted exponent of Celtic and American folk music. He tells engaging and humorous stories, and weaves Celtic and American lore and history with his music. From the familiar trinity of jigs, reels, and haunting airs, to the music of Peter, Paul, and Mary, John Denver and other exponents of the American folk genre.

The "language" of the music Chris performs transcends the boundaries of ethno-world music, and creates an emotionally stimulating environment, drawing the listener into the beauty and energy of the music and its interpretation.

Chris' lively and innovative approach to performing Celtic and American folk music, as well as his charm and engaging personality, totally captivates audiences of all ages, without exception.

All three of Chris' albums have been sold world wide, receiving radio play in Canada, U.S., Europe, and Australia. His tunes have also been released on three compilation albums in Italy, five in Japan, and one in the U.S.

"...I fell in love with the woody resonance and bell-like sustain of Christopher Dean's Taylor guitar and with the delicious picking style that he is rightly known for. The tunes and songs he plays are evocative of the Irish and Scots landscapes. The playing is emotional and reflective without being maudlin or sentimental. The melodies lift the spirit and weave a magic that sustains long after the last notes fade."

"...Very rarely have we heard a more sensitive and expressive guitarist who communicates through his Taylor guitar."
