For A Few Dollars More Ending
End scenes of For A Few Dollars More.
This is a western that gives you double your money's worth. You get not one but TWO men riding off alone into the sunset at the end. Well, I guess Eastwood technically had the bodies of the gang, but the point remains.

@bek12 It's sort of hard to gauge with the whole CGC grading silliness. Either way isn't the relative cheapness now of early Valiant books (compared to say 1993) a good thing? Oh, and I used to quite like Triumphant Comics back in the day, but those really are worth nothing now. I have some Li...

Huh? I'd say the pre Unity Valiant books are certainly worth something. Harbinger #1 goes for some big money to this day. Ditto those early Rai books (well not as much as Harbinger but more like 10-15). After Unity they went more mainstream and print runs skyrocketed, thus there is no...

Randolph Scott v. Lee Marvin
How to win a duel fair & square
I like the exchange right before this. Marvin boasts "I just killed so and so." Scott: "Why?" Marvin: "Why not?" It's just so utterly cool and sinister. For what it's worth I think Lee Marvin basically invented the western tweener in this film, as in that morally ambiguous character that r...

savage/warrior contract signing
the official contract signing for the career-ending match when guess who makes a surprise visit?
@zzDzCzCzz
Actually the two did feud between WM and Summerslam in 1991. It was voted Feud of the Year in Pro Wrestling Illustrated. It just never quite had a good blowoff match.

@getoharmony23
I dunno if Drake was overrated exactly...they had been ranked most of the season and probably deserved a 5. That said if you saw a tourney game of WKU vs. Drake it seems like a fairly even matchup.

UNLV from 1990 wouldn't even make my short list of best teams ever. That team did lose games to NM State and UC Santa Barbara in 1990.

@91rjeezy
I dunno. I suppose the NC State play did win a national title whereas Laettner's simply got Duke to the FF. But let's not kid ourselves here. Duke/UK in 1992 was like the Rembrandt or Picasso of hoops. NC St. vs. Houston in 1983 was a horrible game aside from that play, full of not...

Laettner's shot is easily the best. For one his team was down and it was a set play and not just the NC State "Heave one and see what happens" deal with Charles. I think the Murray St. win from last year should also be on the list.

This is possibly the worst movie in the entire series. I even like Spock's wacky brother looking for religious enlightenment better than this. it's a tossup between this and the first movie as to which is worst.

It's actually somewhat of a myth that the 1996 era Bulls feasted on the expansion teams. Toronto actually BEAT them once that year and Vancouver took the Bulls to the limit as well. Bulls went 5-1 against those two teams. Let's say they had a couple of non expansion teams for thos...

I took a look and Utah was 47-35, not exactly amazing. The 1992 Cavs were actually 57-25, a better record than anyone the Lakers beat in 1988. And the 1997 Heat, while a dull team, were 61-21 (best record in Miami history). In fact the 1997 Bulls beat a 56 win Atlanta in the 2nd r...

@New987user Where can someone find old betting odds like that? As I said I don't really have my old newspaper from 1993. I'm just using logic and memory, as in UK was certainly favored by 8 given their dominance and Michigan's mediocre tourney performance en route to the Final 4.

@New987user Completely incorrect. I remember the line at the time and it was Kentucky that was favored by like 8 or 8 1/2. Michigan played largely like crap in the regional, barely edging UCLA in OT, looking lethargic vs. G. Wash, and narrowly escaping Temple by 5. UK crushed teams BADLY, like...

Night of the Living Dead is sort of cynical instead of bleak. This is flat out bleak and deeply upsetting. I actually got this movie for my birthday (but watched the next day). Everyone in the room was in utter shock when it was over. One of the best movies you will ever see. ...

I demand a 1 on 1 Van Cleef/Eastwood rematch. Blondie cheated to win here, unloading Tuco's gun so he had one less man to worry about, while Angel Eyes had to focus on two men.
