When people think that collectively criticising someone is helpful (as opposed to one person doing so)
Excuses masquarading as explanations for certain crimes
Salafism/Wahhabism
Denial of Islamism
Police Brutality/Double Standards
Human Ignorance, including my own

Innevitably, I will be guilty of some of the above, but that doesn't make me take issue with them any less- that is to say, we are often critical of ourselves.
I know its a long list but what the hell- youtube is a good medium for 'getting things off our chest' And my optimistic list is below:

The buzz from a good trance song
Classical Music; particularly Handel, Prokofiev and Ravel among others
Most British cities but particularly; London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Nottingham, Bristol, Sunderland, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham City and Liverpool. I can't say there are any I dislike and ive still places to visit.

Thought of the day; This has been a tragic few weeks for British forces in Helmand. American, Canadian, NATO Afghan and Pakistani forces also continue to sacrifice. Some are asking why we are there. For this I would urge people to watch 'Why the UN must not leave Afghanistan'. All wars cause suffering but some are necessary. My thoughts are with those who have fallen and continue to strife for a better future for the tragic nation of Afghanistan.

My condolences to the victims of violence and intimidation in Urumqi.

A point about me;
I was born on 1st September 1985- this was the day the RMS Titanic was dicovered by Robert Ballard. The Titanic was built in Belfast- the city I was born in.
