About The Mass Effect Miniseries
Early in 2008 I began a video playthrough of Mass Effect. By late 2009, based on support and attention from Youtube's audience. I decided to go one step further. I began rebuilding the playthrough, using console commands and some decisive cuts to streamline the plot into a film format, uploading it in 720p to replace the blocky footage of yonder. Seven hours of footage later and the miniseries was born.
I've continued the trend into Mass Effect 2, taking what I'd learned from making the first series to improve the cinematic quality of the shots and sound design.
The DLC for the second game provided me with further opportunity for improvement, adding some much needed character development to the crew, building sub-plots in the 3 'specials' that make up Mass Effect Chronicles.
Currently, all episodes are being refined for another draft and upgraded to 1080p in anticipation of Mass Effect 3's release. Come back every Tuesday/Wednesday to catch up on Shepard's antics.
