I worked with Harry James' son, Tim, who was the District Attorney in Nacogdoches, Texas in the 90's. He had some stories to tell.

Great, great, great. Every part of the band had some fun in making this a great hit. Rating? How many stars are available? Give them all the stars.

The tune was the theme of the movie, but you only hear Dean Martin singing one short chorus refrain at the very end of the final credits. A shame, a nice song, suited for Dean's interpretive style.

Dino had the ability to hit the notes just right, and make it look absolutely effortless. How nice to have such a fabulous talent.

One can feel his pain in this rendition...Jim Webb is a genius all the way around.

The pipes have a call to the Scotsman that is unexplainable...crank up the Enola Gay and lets do battle.....

True Grit, Rio Bravo, and Chisum. There was actually a man named Chisum and Tunstall, and they were involved in the Lincoln Co. War at the same time as William Bonney.

Brilliant rendition of a fabulous song. Webb and Hariis were an unbeatable team when it came to telling a story with music and passion.

Feel the pain and the passion. A Webb original...hard to type through the tears. Jimmy you have lived my greatest passions and can put them down on paper as your music. Bless you and keep you.

This is a military tribute, a march. It is supposed to be stilted and harsh in places. Chopin was a student of his times, and the military was revered and adored at this time. Horowitz probably played this piece exactly as Chopin would have wanted it rendered. Wonderful.

Well, "young" is certainly relative in certain respects. I appreciated your tempo, and your feelling for the piece, and it was nice to hear it with a bit of "toned-down" feel to it. Everyone can play it and beat it to death; it is, after all, a military tribute. I have it saved to my play list...

Soulful and heartfelt. I like it.
