Hope: a sentiment creating cultural magnetism as individuals cede to unity, creation, and believed abstractions expanding into the outer universe and adjacent dimensions. Reality: merely a perception, a perception created by an individual or group of individuals. No restrictions can be imposed on our thoughts and our perceptions. Therefore reality, like hope, is infinite. However, the labor of one cannot attain these inscrutable destinations without aid of a committed congregation. Collectively, humanity has the potential to unravel the secrets of this world and the worlds beyond. These and other abstruse philosophies serve as inspiration for the musical creations of the band known as Colony.

Colony was born Summer 2009 as two former band mates met to discuss potential themes and musical concepts. From Fall 2009 through Fall 2010, the aforementioned band mates converted concepts into compositions, now known as "Fables of Chaos" and "Event Horizon." The thoughtful arrangement and ceaseless dedication is evident within the opening moments of "Fables of Chaos" as layered, ethereal guitar immediately draws the the attention of the listener. A volatile barrage of distorted riffs and growling vocals follow the introductory piece. Unmeasurable levels of emotion, talent, and intricacy are on display in every aspect of the aforementioned tracks as Colony shows they are not just another metal band with low-tuned guitars and mindless break-downs.

Each of the members brings his own experience to the group, with previous musical affiliations such as: Violent By Design, Ride to Ruin, Unveil Scorned Eyes, The White Cascade and Elevynth Sun. The band has released a teaser demo known as "Blueprint c3.5", has engaged in the vast social networking process and hopes to record an 18 track LP in the near future. The band is expected to begin local and regional performances very soon.
