The CONvick has been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles, a team, incidentally, whose football scout, Dan Shonka, was busted in 2001 for illegally selling retired greyhound racing dogs to medical research. Shonka operated a greyhound dog racing kennel at St. Croix Meadows Greyhound Racing Track in Hudson, Wisconsin, which is now closed down. Shonka also posed as a greyhound dog rescuer, who placed retired greyhound racing dogs in forever homes. In reality, Shonka was a USDA licensed Class B DOG DEALER
