The mission of the California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) is to improve the health of all Californians by reducing illness and premature death attributable to the use of tobacco products. Through leadership, experience and research, CTCP empowers statewide and local health agencies to promote health and quality of life by advocating social norms that create a tobacco-free environment.
Project LEAN
California Project LEAN (Leaders Encouraging Activity and Nutrition) works to advance nutrition and physical activity policy in schools and communities in order to prevent obesity and its associated chronic diseases. Our efforts are centered around youth and parent empowerment approaches, policy and environmental change strategies, and community-based solutions that improve nutrition and physical activity environments.
