About Me:

Hello, I'm George and welcome to my channel. Please feel free to subscribe and check out my videos. Here you will find a variety of videos from railfanning videos to 'N' scale model railroad videos to my popular "In and Around Oroville" music video series. I have been interested in trains since I was 2 or 3 years old, when I was basically raised next to Southern Pacific's Coast Sub near Ventura, California. I am currently located in Oroville, California and I live just a few miles from the former Western Pacific mainline, now owned by Union Pacific, and not far from the well-known Feather River Canyon. On a daily basis the line sees mainly UP manifest and grain unit traffic and an even mix of Burlington Northern Santa Fe action from the "Highline", otherwise known as BNSF's Gateway Subdivision which extends from Keddie, California to Klamath Falls, Oregon. From time to time I also railfan the UP Valley Sub, which stretches from Roseville to Dunsmuir, California so you may periodically see videos that feature that line. If you have any questions, comments, or feedback of any kind about me, my videos, railroads, railroading, or anything else, please drop me a line!

NEWS:
● POSTED ON 11/9/09 [Fort Bragg Trip Plans Canceled]: My plans to railfan the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg and Willits, California on November 6th and 7th were recently canceled due to private family reasons. However, plans for this trip may take shape for spring or early summer next year. I will post updates on this topic as news becomes available.
● POSTED ON 11/9/09 [Future of the FRC Questionable???]: It's true. If you've taken notice of my new video "Farewell, Feather River Intermodals", you my very well know that double stack traffic will soon be phased out from the Feather River Canyon and moved to Donner Pass, a quicker route through the Sierra Nevada mountains. As of late, sources are telling me that some of the first "test" intermodals to negotiate through the newly-notched tunnels on Donner will be around the end of November. This leaves little time to shoot video of some of the last intermodals to use the Feather River Canyon. After November, the FRC will supposedly be used for lower-priority UP manifest and unit trains, as well as the existing BNSF freight traffic that already uses the line on a daily basis. Nonetheless, it is still despairing to see those damn stackers vanish from the old WP. Check out "Farewell, Feather River Intermodals" at this link:

● POSTED ON 11/9/09 [Model Railroad Update]: I have just acquired the last two of Kato's N scale heritage SD70ACe's, the MoPac #1982 and Katy #1988. More N scale model railroad videos will be coming soon!

Plans have taken yet another 180 degree turn yet again. I think I what I am going to do is railfan out towards Lovelock, Nevada (tomorrow; Saturday) and then I may try to railfan the Napa Wine Train in California on Sunday.

I went to the offical web site for the Napa Wine train but they are not to clear on Sunday's schedual. It looks like the train departs the Napa depot at 10:50AM on Sunday and they say it is suppose to go to St. Helena however they do not say how long the train sits in St. Helena before it begins its return trip back to Napa. I would like to get shots of it heading in both directions round trip between Napa and St. Helena but if it sits in St. Halena all freaking day then I am screwed.
