Original pure bred Jamaican, Born in Port Antonio. Son of Lenox Brown a known saxophone playing musician dad in Kingston Jamaica. Because of his dad's relationship, he also was friend of late Dennis Brown, Lee Scratch Perry, King Tubbys and Joe Gibbs from kid days. Until then, he use to hangout with Stereophonic sound system and from watching and associating, he became a selector on the side with his friend Barrington Bonito {Molo Irie} and selected for there little baby sister sound system called Star Tone. The next one was in New York. Graduated High school and in 1985 joined the Carnival Cruise Line as a bell boy and then left to California after 2 years. He got back into music for real and now infecting the world with happy positive love music and vibes. He is the lead singer of the reggae band Buppy & The Uplifters. Buppy collaborated with the European producer Costi Ionita & Bulgarian singer Andrea to do some tracks for the Sahara project and end up with a hit from the first track Tyalee that was recorded. The song hit the music scene with their first single and after two weeks of release, climbed to #1 spot on the Euro DJ Charts Also went to #1 Spot in Bulgaria. Buppy has now released from his label Brown II Music Buggie Pump with Teddy K from Bulgaria and coming with the dancehall remix.
Buppy is Uplifting and sweet to satisfaction. The collaboration and the instrumentation of reggae vibes mixed universally is just so unique and sweet, there is no way you won't enjoy the performance from and work from Lennox Buppy Brown.
