Heidi Swedborg as Susan steals every scene she's in. She never even has to say a word. I loved her as Susan, because the idea that she would even think of marrying George was too ridiculous for words anyway.

Why in the world would a bright young girl like the Plaintiff even look twice at the Defendant? He looks real serial killer material. A sociopath plain and simple.

What a terrific looking production. A real ensemble, and it looks like Albert Herring, not some re-interpretation set in a salt mine in Siberia. All kudos to the LA Opera, the production team and the cast.

If Christina, [the Plaintiff's witness], and Emily Brontë's corpse auditioned side-by-side for a Broadway revival of No No Nanette, Emily Brontë's corpse would get the part.

Both Plaintiffs look as if they were chased all the way to the studio by a pack a dogs who caught up with them at the entrance.
