Utterly brilliant. Michael Flatley is truly amazing. And to be fair, Jean Butler appears
much more when you see the whole of the River Dance. I bought the video of the whole show but I played it so often it wore out!
And such co-ordination from the rest of the many dancers....

When I lived in Singapore I went to see The Walker Bros, who were rubbish, but were supported by a group I had never heard of - The Yardbirds, who were utterly brilliant. Not heard this one before, but I like it. Yes, their sound was way before the times. Thanks for the posting.

Thanks a lot for posting. I've been looking for this number from my childhood for years, but with no joy. This is not the original artists that I remember, but it's the very same song and sounds similar. And I'm 67 !

I have never known Karl come up with a 'bad' song, and this is one of my favourites, although I can understand it may be an acquired taste. I acquired that tast over 50 years ago with 'Wimowheh', covered many times since by many artists as 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', but never quite the same. ...

This guy was Scottish, the forefarther of Rock N Roll, out of Skiffle, in the UK. My understanding of this song was that there was a heavy tax on moving iron across frontiers in America, and the engine drivers used to declare any cargo except pig iron to avoid the taxation. The song comes fr...

It was only this morning (Fri 25th Mar 2011) that I heard this piece of music being used on a commercial here in Canada. I couldn't remember the name, but my wife told me she wanted a picture hung at 'eye-level' that it came back to me.
One of the most powerful songs I have EVER heard. Thanks for posting.
