Jackson didn't buy the whole Beatles library, he did though, buy a good chunk of their bigger songs, at least 50%. It was a smartr investment, although he lost a good friend (Paul) in going behind his back to do it (they were both in negotiations along with Yoko, to buy the rights as a team.).
