Maybe you should take a look at how atheists are actually treated in the US.. I don't think it's easy belonging to the most hated and distrusted minority in the US..

The concept of reincarnation was made to make us feel better..? That doesn't really make sense considering the views of the people making it up, about life being suffering.. If life is suffering, then how is the thought of another life supposed to make us feel better..?

All ideas are essentially viruses, whether it is religion or atheism.. The difference is that it is easier to catch a religious idea than an atheistic idea.. It's simply easier to catch an idea through faith than through reasoning..

Sure it would be nice if people stopped saying hurtful things, but the best guard against that is to not let yourself BE hurt..

It's simply too naive to expect people (especially on the internet) to talk nice.. It would be a lot easier to just learn to ignore it and see through it..

@hanksnow82 Denmark doesn't have the highest suicide rate in the world.. It's more or less the same as in the US.. In fact I think it's slightly higher in the US..

This is about attitude, not language.. Words such as "fuck" can be used in MANY different ways, not just in aggression.. Many people use it freely in casual conversations.. So it's not the language that is a problem..

People like the policeman in the story should just simply calm down.. It doesn'...

As much as I dislike Bill, he actually has a point here.. But then political correctness got in the way..

I'll take responsibility for my own life.. Why..? Because it really IS my responsibility.. I'm the only one who CAN take that responsibility.. If I could give it to someone else, it wouldn't be my life anymore..

So whatever happens in my life, good or bad, there is only myself to thank or blame ...

Parents are responsible for their kids, I agree.. But doesn't that mean that God (granted his existence) is responsible for us..?
