There's a gritty soul to a lot of the old Elton songs that just goes all through me. The first time I experienced it was the opening credits of the movie "Dog Day Afternoon." But every song on this album does it. I'm late as hell finding this album, too. Better late than never, though.

Also heard on Radio Paradise, which is turning out to be a decent place to discover music for lazy types/ me.

There isn't a bigger Pixar fan than me in a thousand mile radius. I have all the DVD's lined up in their own folder and I watch 30 minutes a day five days a week to unwind. I've seen all the commentary tracks 2 or 3 times each. I even like "Cars."

However... this looks like a big pile of suck...

It is nice to see, in a culture where 99% of the jokes are only referential and snarky, that actual comedy is still taking place.

Ah, yes, The ol' take a sweet innocent cartoon and make it spew bile for a few minutes gag. Boy, that never gets old.

Maybe next you could make a comedy where the villain is foiled by stepping on a rake.

Her "rock baptized" comment is kind of insightful. There are a limited # of themes that lend themselves natural to emotionally charged rock and roll screaming. Baseball (like Baptism) isn't on the list. I mean, until some baseball player does an overdose on the field having a Vietnam flashback...

The reason that it doesn't work as a joke is because you are too attractive. Nobody's buying that you are among those who really suffer just because some ditzes on youtube said you need a tan.

It's all good stuff, but I might advise you to reconsider your titles. Viewers like to be the ones to call your work amazing, not have it told to them. And in this case, a viewer would rather watch and say, "hey, that's my life" than have a title force that idea upon him (exlamation mark). It ...

I'm a conservative & disagree with much of Vonnegut's leanings, but yeah, that obit was some bullshit. The country's gotten so petty on both sides. I was just re-reading Slaughterhouse-Five and I foolishly came here to... I guess punish myself by checking in on this culture's reaction to the guy.
