About this user

Bruce Tiemann AKA Boppo. I independently invented siteswaps, which I first revealed to the world and also named. I have tied a juggling world record (11-ball flash) and set another (9-stick flash). I also qualified 7 clubs before Anthony Gatto qualified 8, so I was listed in the 1997 Guinness Book of World Records as one of the world's 7-club jugglers. The evidence they accepted was the same 15-catch run on my channel here, although I have done it for longer.

Although I have had a 10-year break in juggling, I'm getting back into it, and intend to make some longer montages of juggling. At the time my short clips were filmed, YouTube didn't exist AFAIK and the desire to conserve bandwidth with cropped, compressed and brief clips was more pressing.

I also plan to film some geeky technical things, not juggling. If there is a desire for a different channel for these other things, I could do that.

If you're wondering about my avatar, that's what I look like in the 900 - 1700 nm part of the infrared spectrum; the picture was taken with an InGaAs camera being demonstrated to me by an agent of Xenics corp, which made the camera. Skin isn't very reflective at those wavelengths, and most fabric dyes do not absorb, so I look dark and my clothes look white. So this is like a Sony Nightshot, but on steroids. (However, I'm not wearing just a bikini, so my modesty thankfully nevertheless prevails.)
