About the taking a shower everyday, what you could do is take an old spray bottle and fill it with some conditioner and water and spray that in your hair every day that you wont take a shower. So then it doesnt dry out you hair but it still doesnt make it look greasy :)

I have the wen hair care thing and i use it just like a regular conditioner...and i only use 3 pumps. I really dont care much for it though...
