i think he realized that he can't always live life being miserable. i think he's trying to have fun, but being as miserable as he is and being who he is, he has to do something big, something crazy, something over the top.

too bad current ships don't have the hull integrity to mount these weapons. after firing them a few times the hull would be compromised and need to return to port to be repaired. now the hulls could be upgraded or new arleigh-burkes with improved hulls could be built, but shore bombardm...
