The 43rd Brighton Festival erupts onto the arts calendar this May (2-24) under the new direction of Chief Executive Andrew Comben and heralding the arrival of internationally celebrated Turner Prize winning artist Anish Kapoor as Guest Artistic Director. Inspirational direction and a captivating programme of works, including two new commissions from Kapoor, have produced a must-see series of events both in the many venues of Brighton and Hove as well as a host of more unusual locations and spaces across the city. With 26 premieres and exclusives, including 7 events commissioned by Brighton Festival, plus 11 free outdoor events, this years Brighton Festival promises three weeks of serious fun.
