An example of using the Form Pipe menu command to combine two pipes.
First the existing pipe is duplicated by dragging it and hitting CTRL while dragging. Next it is flipped horizontally, and the points are reversed by using "Reverse Pipe". Finally Form Pipe is used to combine the two sections.
This also has a quick demo of how to adjust the transparency (alpha channel) for a color.

Shows another way of creating a pipe grouping. Here the standard 2 point pipe (with flanged ends) is dragged onto the screen, then extended with additional unions / control points by holding down the CTRL key and clicking elsewhere on the screen. Since an "elbow flange" is not a valid combination, the second control point becomes a multicolor box with an X through it, so first change that is made is changing it to another union type (a 4-way). This example also shows selecting an individual pipe component (an elbow) and modifying its curvature through dragging its bounding box.

more
An example of forming a pipe from individual pipe components. The trick with this method is the multiple selection, done by holding down SHIFT after the first component is selected, and then clicking on the subsequent pieces in order. They must be selected in order for it to work properly. That said, it is possible to select multiple pieces by selecting around them and the pipe will be formed in the order that the pieces were added.
This is one of several methods for building the initial pipe renderer component... others will be in subsequent videos.
