God man, no kidding. I don't think Draymond Green will be very effective if and when he plays. At least, I sure hope he isn't. Zack Novak has always done a good job of containing him, especially the last game. I expect Michigan to win assuming Green is incapacitated.

Have you been following the basketball team? We're having such a good season. Hopefully we sweep Sparty this sunday

SOPA and PIPA are both horrible pieces of legislation. Thank GAWD there has been such an outpouring against those bills. The internet as we know it would be wiped out by them. And if by "socialist" you mean "collectivist," than yes, we are becoming a more socialist nation. But SOPA and PIPA are so bad that even the left wing intellectual terrorist group Media Matters For America is against it.

I don't need an entire offseason to make a prediction on the Bama game. The Crimson Tide will win even if all their top Juniors go pro (Richardson, Kirkpatrick, Hightower). But I don't think it will be a blowout. Each of the three times Michigan and Bama have played, the game was decided in the final minute. I think Michigan will probably make it a ball game. But unfortunately it doesn't like we will actually pull it off. They have more talent and a better coaching staff than we do.

The schedule is a lot tougher next year, so if we finish "only" 9-3 or even 8-4, that shouldn't be massively disappointing. We really need William Campbell and Quinton Washington to develop into reliable defensive tackles, cause replacing Van Bergen and Martin's production won't be easy. Luckily everyone is back in the back 7, and Jordan Kovacs should be as good of a senior leader as MM or RVB. Offensively, we can be electric if Borges does what he did in the final three games of the regular season. (I also thought he called a good Sugar Bowl game, but we just missed our opportunities). We'll see what happens over the offseason. GO BLUE!

What are the odds that we would be talking about the fantastic turn around Gibbons has made just days before he goes out and makes himself a LEGEND in the minds of Michigan fans? That's miraculous. Oh, and Gibbons is not just a hero because he made the most important FG in years. Check out the video, "Brendan Gibbons Prefers Brunettes." AMAZING!

Why Dave Brandon insists on screwing with the uniforms, I don't know. I think he is a good AD, but my gawd does he need a fresher in marketing skills. I don't care what he did at Dominoes. His re-branding of Michigan football is getting beyond irritating. The road jerseys against Sparty were hideous abominations. Switching topics, apparently Josh Garnett might have us as his top team. Can you imagine an o-line consisting of Garnett, Kyle Kalis, and Erik Magnuson in 2014 and 2015? Scary stuff. Hoke is doing a better job at recruiting than dickrod ever did.

Sometimes being in a "put up or shut up" situation is the jolt you need to reach your potential and be a successful football player. Maybe that was the case with Gibbons, cause yeah, it sure did seem like he said "ok, I feel like playing football now." Some of his misses last year were bush league. But hey, I'm glad he's finally come around. Got any predictions for the Sugar Bowl?

I guess he just needed a year of experience. Last year he was a redshirt freshman, this year a redshirt sophomore. Sometimes players like Gibbons make sophomore leaps. We recruited him to replace Anthony Fera when Fera decommited and went to Penn State, so its not like Gibbons was some walkon. Its great to see him come into his own as a reliable kicker.

Its going to be a very tight football game. Both teams have strong defenses - Virginia Tech more so. But we have more offensive weapons. VT's offense is "David Wilson left, David Wilson right, David Wilson up the middle." He's a terrific tailback, but unless he blows up like Biakabatuka against Ohio in 1995, he won't beat the Wolverines by himself. The key defensively is going to be us holding him to below 5 yards per carry and forcing Logan Thomas to make short dinky passes. And offensively, we just need Denard to do as well as he did in the second half of the season, when he clearly progressed. No one should be surprised if VT wins, but I think the odds are in Michigan's favor.
