About Me:

"If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

As a nepios (An immature Believer - intellectually and morally), I spoke like a nepios, thought like a nepios, reasoned like a nepios; As an aner (mature believer), we move on from nepiou.

I now see in a mirror dimly, but then I shall see face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

Faith, Hope, and Love, these three sustain; but the greatest of these is LOVE."

(1 Corinthians 13)

"El Elohim YHWH, has spoken; He has summoned all humanity from east to west!

From Mount Zion, the perfection of beauty, Elohim shines in glorious radiance.

Elienu approaches with the noise of thunder. Fire devours everything in His way, and a great storm rages around Him.

Heaven and earth will be His witnesses as He judges His people:

'Bring my faithful people to me-- those who made a covenant with me by giving sacrifices.'

Then let the heavens proclaim His justice, for Elohim himself will be the judge."

-Selah. (Psalm 50:1-6)

۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞

"YHWH Elohim is in your midst, Masterful, He shall Save (Y'SH'). He shall elate over you in rejoicing, He shall be quiet in His love, He shall exult over you in jubilation."

(Zephaniah 3:17)

۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞

Be still before YHWH and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, But those being in the state of expectation of YHWH, they will inherit the land.

Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

The wicked plots against the righteous And gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord over my life laughs at him, For He sees his day is coming.

The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow To cast down the afflicted and the needy, To slay those who are upright in conduct. Their sword will enter their own heart, And their bows will be broken.

Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked.

(Psalm 37:7-16)

۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞۩ஜஜ۩۞

"You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, But YHWH helped me. YHWH is my strength and song. He has become my yeshu`ah." (Psalm 118:13-14)

"And I said, 'You shall call Me, My Father, And not turn away from following Me."

(Jeremiah 3:19)

"An hour is coming, and even now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth."

(John 4:23-24)

A Psalm for Thanksgiving:

"Shout joyfully to YHWH, all the earth.

Serve YHWH with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.

Know that YHWH Himself is Elohim; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.

For YHWH is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations."

(Psalm 100)

"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh... Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:19-20, 22

No worries Simeon. I've posted a video by John Eldredge on my channel- I like him because he came to the Lord in his early twenties after dealing with the death of his Alcoholic Father and he has Criminal Convictions!

Thanks for your prayers, Craig. Yeah, that makes sense. I get that. I will pray that God will help me give my desires over to Him, and trust Him with them. I had such bad stress that a few months ago I had to go to a special doctor because my back muscles and stomach muscles were so tight that I was having incapacitating sharp pains. He was a trained in traditional Japanese arts which stem from Judo, and he basically massaged my internal organs, mostly my stomach, it was a strange massage, but it really helped. I was almost 100% again within a few days. Anyway, we all go through hard times. But, the LORD is looking out for us. We are in his hands, and I just need to learn to rest in that, and trust Him, I think. Thanks for the message, brother.

Sorry mate, I was trying to say that the book tells us to give our 'desire for life' over to God, A quote from the John Eldridge book 'Desire', "The evil One has basically two ploys. If he cannot get us to kill our Hearts and bury our desire, then he is delighted to seduce our desire into a trap. Once we give over our desire for life to any object other than God, we become ensnared. Think of the phrase 'shes a slave to fashion'. We become slaves to any number of things, which at the outset we thought would serve us.
Addiction also makes idolaters of us all, because it forces us to worship these objects of attachment, thereby preventing us from truly, freely loving God and one another."

Simeon- I know what you mean-it does sound a bit 'New age' at first glance. What I get from his book is that it's 'okay' to desire God. That it's 'okay' to have passion for God- to even believe that God 'desires' us.
I will pray for your situation- I would be going 'stir crazy' too. Do you have any escape? My escapes are going out to the forest and hiking or Mountainbiking- are there any parks or retreats in your area? Low blood sugar? I hope you don't mind me saying, but I saw you guys go through incredible stress during and after the Tsunami with the birth of your child and now you are dealing with more uncertainty? That's tough.

Also the "many good people" thing sounds a bit fishy to me...didn't Jesus say, "Only God is Good"? Anyway, I would have to read the book to understand the context and intention of the author, so my response is only a gut feeling based on the small but you quoted, and my current state of being which is irritation that my PC is not functioning properly, and a low blood sugar level at the moment, kids crying, wife in a bad mood, and stress about our current situation here in Japan (my contract ends next year, and we are thinking to move back to the US, but it is all up in the air at the moment and a bit stressful. I am trying to trust the LORD with things, but it is a constant internal battle for me.)

No, I have not, Craig. I believe some of that is true, about us wanting life as it was meant to be, but I also know that our hearts are also corrupt, so I am not sure I can trust my heart's desires all the time. In fact I know that I cannot at all times, but there is some truth to that for sure. I am just a bit shy of extreme theology and new theological concepts in general. I will have to think about it a bit, but the first thing that comes to my mind is the balance of scriptures such as...Psalms 21 vs. Psalm 10.

Maybe it depends on what our hearts desire is?

Simeon- Have you ever read any books by Christian author John Eldredge? I am presently reading a double volume with two books-'Desire' and 'Waking the dead'. In his book desire, John say's, " There is a secret placed within each of our hearts. It is the desire for life as it was meant to be. Many good people have been told that the path to a holy life requires us to kill our hearts desires, And call it 'Sanctification'. But in 'desire' you will discover that God is the author of our deepest desires. He has given us desire, and he loves to fulfill our hearts desires".
