About this user
After seven years of performing and teaching improv comedy in Sudbury, Ontario, Brendan McKeigan made the move to Toronto to pursue a career in stand-up comedy in 2003. Within seven months of his debut, Brendan was nominated for a Guttman Award for Best Stand Up Comic.
One year later he was then nominated for the Mike Myers Award for best comedic performance and in 2006 was a finalist in Q107's fan-voted "Funniest Person With a Day Job". He has performed on XM Satellite Radio numerous times to rave reviews. And to cap it all off, this year he was selected to compete in Montreal at the Just For Laughs Festival's Homegrown Comic Competition.
With his likeable nature, and sharp, witty observational barbs, Brendan has gained a loyal following performing in clubs and corporate & private functions all over North America as well as resorts and vacation hotspots throughout the Caribbean.
Brendan brings high energy and a fresh perspective to joke telling, delivering an act sprinkled with creative metaphors about the everyday rituals of life, drinking, women and mistakes, not necessarily in that order!
Having created such a buzz in a short time, comedy fans and critics alike are raving about this "next big thing" however he's happy simply being "the first Brendan McKeigan".
