Always good to hear Mindless (Sinner). But you have to agree that Christer's voice didn't really suit a side of rock/metal as soft as this. Much more powerful in the early stuff, and the 1986 demo is still incredible despite its relative softness compared to the earlier material.

Heavy Load was definitely the first heavy metal band in Sweden, and to be honest, their Full Speed at High Level LP from 1978 was among the heaviest, most sinister metal that existed back then if you listen to songs like "In Two Minds" or "Midnight Crawler". Joey Belladonna sounds weak live, but Neil Turbin could deliver with some serious power. I have this entire show on VHS and he doesn't miss a single high note, in fact he throws in some extra for good measure. They do Armed and Dangerous, and it's just a blizzard of extremely high falsetto as far...

This band is from the UK. It's from the "Scene of the Crime" compilation LP from 1981. Anyway, this is one of the five best songs that has ever been made.

Frenzy had some serious catchiness.

Fantastic song. Too bad the other songs on their demos aren't really up to par with this or their 7" songs. But anyway, I guess that's the way it "should" be. That the vinyl efforts should be the best : > Can't say I like "Broken Hearts" very much though.

The vocal performance on this LP is one of the best that has ever been made in heavy metal, even if I'm biased towards "lesser known" bands.

Very good LP. Although, perhaps a bit too "mature" overall compared to, let's say, their Soldier of the World 7".
