Live Aid 1985 - CBC video - The Cars - "Drive"
This is the original Live Aid recording, showing children starving in Ethopia. It is the most distressing film footage I have ever seen.

13th July 1985. I stood on the pitch at Wembley watching this for the first time. I could not have imagined that 90,000 souls could be so quiet. Looking around me, I saw men and women cry, as we viewed a harrowing piece of film married to a great song. Not dulled by the passage of time, intense a...

@TheMissionaryboy Yeah I found it on that same Sounds album myself... a great gem of a track, a classic 70's power ballad, with some neat guitar work and vocal harmonies. Shame no-one produces material as good as this these days eh? Another classic for the playlists.

Love that big sound... pity their 3rd album never saw the light of day as they could have been a huge band ...

Ah yes...brings back many great memories indeed of The Friday Rock Show on Radio One with Tommy Vance, who used this great track as the show's theme. When rock music was deserving of the term classic! Ace tune... love it... play loud and enjoy!
